Johnny Cueto takes the bump for the Redlegs this evening, looking to bounce back from an erratic performance against the Astros.  He had some success at Wrigley last year, starting 2 games, pitching a combined 13.2 innings, striking out 12 and giving up 5 earned runs.  With the way the offense is going though he might have to be even better tonight.

Theodore Roosevelt Lilly is the Cubs designated hurler for the evening.  The Reds roughed him up good last year, beating him in all 4 games he started against them, posting an 8.15 ERA along the way.  Look for Votto to continue is sweet-swangin' ways tonight, as he has a 1.352 OPS against Lilly.  Ramon Hernandez has hit him well in the past too, posting a 1.529 OPS against him, though most of that came back in '06 when Hernandez was with the O's and Lilly was with the Blue Jays.

All-Star voting begins today, so there is that.  I always thought it started a bit early.  I mean, what can we say about any of these guys after 2 weeks-worth of games?  But still, feel free to vote a zillion times for your favorite Red.  Though it seems unlikely, I would love to see Votto make it above stalwarts like Pujols, Berkman, and Howard.  If he keeps hitting like he is, he'll be sure to turn a few heads at ESPN and maybe get some national exposure.
